This client required
a number of Reverse Jet Filters for use on Vacuum Conveying systems
for handling various materials.
The pneumatic blower set were positioned on the clean side of
the filters, so they had to be designed to handle a suction of
- 0.75 barG.
This was achieved by constructing circular filters with pressed
steel domed tops, stiffened door openings and curved doors.
Due to the explosive nature of the dusts being handled, the filters
were fitted with ‘Fike’ explosion relief panels.
The filter bags were 1200 mm long x 114 mm dia. Gore-Tex® PTFE
membrane/polyester needlefelt with silicone ring seals and PTFE
seam-sealing of stitching, and they were arranged horizontally
in the filter.
In all 7-off filters were supplied, varying in effective cloth
filtration areas of 8.8 m2, 11.0 m2 and 13,2 m2.
